What can a NFC Smart Ring do？

The NFC Ring is one smart ring with unlimited possibilities. Use your NFC Ring to unlock your smart phone or tablet, lock and unlock your door, share and transfer data, and link people. What's more, it's water resistant and never requires charging.

 

NFC smart ring is a ring equipped with NXP NTAG series chips. It uses wireless radio frequency technology to realize near-field payment, public transportation, security access control, identity recognition and other functions.

 

Among them, NXP NTAG series chips are divided into 213, 215, and 216. They are divided according to programmable memory. For example, 213 can only edit the contents of 188 bytes of memory, while 216 can edit the contents of 888 bytes of memory. Secondly, the protocol they follow is ISO-14443A, which is a universal protocol standard worldwide, which means that its functions can be used on different NFC devices around the world.

 

How to connect NFC smart ring?

 

Enable NFC on your phone (usually in Settings).

Download and open the companion app for your smart ring.

Follow the on-screen instructions, which usually involve holding the ring to the back of your phone's NFC sensor for a few seconds.

 

What can we use the NFC Smart Rings for in daily life?

 

1. Near-Field Payment

Usually you scan the QR code to pay at the store, opening the payment software on mobile phone then cliking to pay. Now this step is directly reduced, you only need to touch the POS machine with the ring to realize quick payment. 

 

2. Public Transportation

By linking the ring to a compatible mobile payment platform or digital wallet, you can tap the ring to the NFC card reader on the bus, the money will be deducted from your ring directly, which is similar like a transportation card.

 

3. Security Access Control

It is mainly used for electronic locks.  The NFC smart ring uses a passive solution to grant access to secure locations, such as office buildings, apartments, or hotel rooms. Mostly importantly, it can be used without batteries, no need to charge.

4. Identification

When your ring touches the card reader lightly, the purpose of identity recognition is born.

 

5. Information Sharing

You can use your NFC Smart Ring to share Wifi information, links to websites, links to pictures, contact information or whatever you think is suitable to be passed securely to your friends smartphone's and tablets.

You can also use your NFC Ring to start apps with custom settings (parameters) which makes it even easier to use your device.
